We wanted to send a BIG thank you out to everyone who stopped by to see the Cariboo Tree Team this past Saturday at the Prince George Farmers Market for Downtown SummerFest in the heart of our hometown of Prince George, BC!
The amazing volunteers of the Cariboo Brewing Tree Team were hard at work bright and early on the big day, prepping 3500 Tree seedlings to be handed out to Prince George citizens who wanted to take part and become an honorary Cariboo Tree Team Member by picking up a seedling to be planted at various locations in Prince George and Northern British Columbia
Tree Planting is hard work, and tree planters can get thirsty, which is why we had plenty of Cariboo Root Beer and Cariboo Ginger Ale on hand for those who came by to pick up tree seedlings, as well as PWB Beer Specials at the legendary Nancy O’s restaurant. After picking up Trees, a Soft Drink, and some PWB Merch, Nancy O’s patio was the place to be! If all of that wasn’t enough, we also had PG’s very own Chris Goodwin Band playing throughout the day, as live music begins to make its return to the city of Prince George after a very long absence.
Beyond everyone who helped out with the event, or stopped by to become an honorary tree planter for a day, We can’t thank our hometown of Prince George enough for coming out to see us at this inaugural event, supporting our on-going, and long-time tree-planting initiatives. Partial proceeds go toward reforestation projects wherever Cariboo Brewing products are sold, and we are very proud to have our hometown come out in force to support this important BC and Alberta-wide initiative with us by taking the time to physically put a tree into the ground. If you couldn’t make it out to the big day, you can still do your part by picking up a Cariboo Brewing product at your local Cariboo retailer to help with reforestation efforts in your neck of the woods.
